Joseph M. Coli DVM

Dr. Joe Coli is a native of Verdi, Nevada. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. He currently resides in Washoe Valley with his wife, Jody, and their two children, Kristina and Steven. He is an active member of the Reno Rodeo Association and a past president of the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Coli was named the 2013 Zoetis Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Veterinarian of the Year. His personal hobbies include archery, hunting, karate, and horse packing.
Stephen C. Damonte DVM

Dr. Steve Damonte is a native of Reno, Nevada. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. He currently resides in Reno with his wife Angie and daughter Jenna. He is a volunteer with the Reno Rodeo Association and past president of the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association and Washoe County Farm Bureau. Dr. Damonte is currently on the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. His personal hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, running and skiing.
Shane M. Miller DVM Dipl. ACVS
Board Certified Equine Surgeon
Dr. Shane Miller is a native of Minden, NV. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. Following a year long internship at Littleton Large Animal Hospital Equine Clinic, Dr. Miller completed his equine surgery residency at University of California-Davis. He subsequently returned to Littleton Large Animal Clinic Equine Hospital. Dr. Miller became board certified in equine surgery from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. While at Littleton Equine Medical Center, Dr. Miller served as CEO and Chief of Surgery. Dr. Miller lives in Gardnerville with his wife Kristin and their three children Peyton, Camden, and Landin. Dr. Miller's professional interests lie in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries with an emphasis in arthroscopy, laparoscopy and fracture repair. He also has a clinical interest in lameness and prepurchase exams. He has written articles in Veterinary Surgery Journal, Equine Veterinary Journal, Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association and many lay journals. Dr. Miller has also presented numerous surgical and lameness topics both nationally and internationally. His hobbies include cycling, triathlons, and golfing.
Elisabeth M. Lau DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Betsy Lau is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. She completed her internship at Comstock Equine Hospital and stayed on as an associate veterinarian. Her professional interests include dentistry, small ruminants, and general medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners and a control judge with the American Endurance Ride Conference. Dr. Lau resides in Reno with her husband Erik and daughter Hazel on their mini urban farm. Her hobbies include cooking, hiking and snowshoeing, and watching Razorback football and basketball.
Elizabeth L. Hanrahan DVM

Dr. Elizabeth Hanrahan is a native of Laguna Hills, California. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a year long equine medicine and surgery internship at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services in Elk River, Minnesota. Dr. Hanrahan's professional interests are general practice, internal medicine, lameness and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and snowshoeing with her dog Muir, backpacking, cooking, reading and trying new restaurants and breweries.
Hannah R. Leventhal DVM MS Dipl. ACVIM (LAIM)
Internal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Hannah Leventhal is a native of Arvada, Colorado. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After an equine medicine and surgery internship at Tryon Equine Hospital, Dr. Leventhal did a fellowship a Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. She completed a large animal internal medicine residency at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Masters of Science in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences. She became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2023. Dr. Leventhal's professional interests include neonatology, respiratory medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, neurological diseases, and camelids. She is also a FEI permitted treatment veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys running, weight lifting, hiking with her doodle Willow, and baking.
Samantha E. Terenzi DVM

Dr. Terenzi is a native of Long Island, New York. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Terenzi completed a year long equine medicine and surgery internship with us. She is staying on with the practice and is seeing appointments at both our Comstock Equine Hospital and Great Basin Equine facilities. Dr. Terenzi will be doing her veterinary chiropractic training this fall! Her professional interests include emergency medicine, lameness, surgery and small ruminant medicine. In her free time, Dr. Terenzi enjoys riding her horse Lofty, hiking with her two dogs Maverick and Goose, skiing, snowboarding, and baking.

Dr. Pezzini is a native of Salinas, California. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pezzini is joining us for a year long equine medicine and surgery internship. His professional interests include large animal general practice and sports medicine. In his free time, Dr. Pezzini enjoys team roping on his Quarter Horse gelding Reed, hunting, fishing, skiing, general ranch work and trail riding, and watching San Francisco 49ers football games.
