Jamie Frayne

Hospital Manager
Jamie is a native of Tonopah, Nevada. She graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2008. She worked at the veterinary teaching hospital at UC Davis, Cotati Large Animal Hospital in Cotati, California, and Elko Veterinary Clinic before joining the Comstock team. Her professional goal is to become a certified veterinary practice manager. In her free time, Jamie enjoys running with her mixed breed dog Skibbee, playing volleyball, camping, hunting, and anything that takes her outdoors.
Morgan Passow
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Morgan is a native of Reno, Nevada. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Science and a Minor in Biology at University of Nevada Reno. She has been a member of the Comstock Equine Hospital team since 2015. Her professional interests include anesthesia, neonatal care, and intensive/critical care. In her free time, Morgan enjoys reading, traveling to Disneyland and Disney World, singing, and spending time with her husband Kevin and her dog Arya.
Kelsey Thoms
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kelsey was born in Irvine, California and raised in Reno, Nevada. She earned her Associates of Veterinary Technology from TMCC in 2019. Kelsey enjoys all aspects of veterinary technology, especially anesthesiology and neonatology. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys hiking with her dog with Bentley, riding her Quarter Horse Griz, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Wendy Wyatt
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Wendy is a native of Eureka, Nevada. She obtained her associate degree of veterinary technology from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She received her license at College of Southern Nevada. Wendy has worked for several large equine practices including Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center in Las Vegas and Weatherford Equine in Weatherford, Texas. Her professional interests include anesthesia, intensive care nursing, and wound management. In her free time, Wendy is an amazing photographer and enjoys mixed martial arts and hiking with her dogs Sadie and Dally
Jessica Balaam
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jessica is a native of Yerington, Nevada. She obtained her associate degree of veterinary technology from Yuba College in Marysville, California. She also worked in the equine surgery department at UC Davis and developed her love of anesthesia. She has been an independent contractor to equine surgeon Dr. Tom Yarbrough for the bulk of her career. During that time she was also an anesthesia technician at Dubai Equine Hospital and Fourways Equine Hospital in South Africa. Her professional interests include anesthesia and emergency and critical care. In her free time, Jessica competing in cycling and running events with her husband Gideon, hiking with their dogs Louie and Lola drawing and traveling. We are so excited to have her join our Comstock Equine/Great Basin Equine team!
Valerie Foley
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Valerie is a native of Las Vegas. She obtained her associate degree of veterinary technology from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2021. She completed her externship with us and stayed on after she passed her board exams. Her professional interests include equine orthopedics and musculoskeletal injuries, ruminant medicine, and the integument system. In her free time, Valerie enjoys Olympic weight lifting at Calavera Barbell, disc golf, traveling, and spending time with her pocket pittie Legolas, her snakes Hugo and Walter, and her bearded dragon Smaug.
